Privacy Policy
What Alberta Ace actually collects, where it goes, and the choices you have. Effective July 5, 2026.
Who is responsible for your information
Alberta Ace is operated by Artur Ismagilov and Roozbeh Mahdavi Mazdeh in Alberta, Canada. For any privacy question, or to access, correct, or delete your information, email albertaace100@gmail.com — we handle these requests manually and will respond as quickly as we can.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google: your name, email, and profile picture from your Google account. When you request tutoring or submit practice work for feedback: the details you type and any images of your work you attach. When you use the study calendar: the events, tasks, and reminders you add. When you submit a practice test: a summary of the attempt (which test, your score, and time taken — not your individual answers). That is the full list — we do not collect anything else, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
How your information is used
To sign you in and show your name in the app; to receive and reply to your tutoring requests and feedback submissions; and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
Supabase hosts our accounts and authentication. Resend (a US company) delivers our email, and tutoring/feedback submissions arrive in our email inbox (Google Gmail). Google also provides optional Google sign-in and serves the icon font on our pages. This means some personal information — like your name, email, and submitted work — is processed by service providers outside Canada, primarily in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
How long we keep it
Your account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Tutoring and feedback emails are kept in our inbox while we work with you and are deleted periodically afterward. If you ask us to delete your account, we also delete related emails we still hold.
Your choices and rights
Under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and information — email albertaace100@gmail.com from your account email. You can also sign out at any time, and you can use most public pages without an account.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (set by our authentication provider). There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Students and parents
Alberta Ace is built for high-school students preparing for diploma exams, and account holders must be at least 13. We collect the minimum needed to run the service. Parents or guardians of users under 18 can contact us with any question about their teen’s information.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email. Effective July 5, 2026.
